Bangalore school of Visual arts is designed to work along side working professionals who have a passion towards arts and want to peruse it as a carrier in the future.

Bachelor of visual arts – b.v.a 4 years degree (8 semesters) Eligibility for admission: 10+2 or equivalent Masters of visual arts – m.v.a 2 years post graduation (4 semesters) Eligibility for admission: bva/bfa degree

College of Fine Arts (Evening) conducts entrance test for BVA, MVA & Post Diploma. The Candidate must clear the entrance test in order to get admission. The entrance test is conducted at three levels which includes written, practical and oral tests as prescribed by the College of Fine Arts (Evening) administration. The Presentation of portfolio is mandatory for BVA, MVA & Post Diploma.

Foundation is a one year mandatory course in the beginning of BVA where the students get introduced to various subjects like still life, life study, nature study, color composition, collage, clay modelling, papermache, woodblock print, art history, calligraphy etc.

Degree in Under and Post Graduate levels in five disciplines: Painting, Sculpture, Graphic Art, Applied Art and Art History.

The term Sculpture is today employed in a wider and more inclusive sense. Besides skill development, the department of sculpture encourages practice in an expanded field of installation assemblage

The Department offers training in creative drawing and painting. The students are encouraged to create, explore and develop their skills in various mediums like pencil, charcoal, ink, watercolours, oils, pastels and acrylic.

Practitioners of Applied Art transform ideas into symbols to convey specific messages for the public. Designers are essential in the communication field since they device everything from logos to corporate identity.

The Various media of graphic art include lithography, serigraphy, etchings and photo-transfer, linocut and screen printing. The department is equipped with state of the art lithography stones, presses, screens,and inks

Art History provides the keys to understanding and interpreting diverse manifestations of visual culture across time and geographies. It establishes a foundation for art theory that is a primary requisite students.
