Admission Criteria

BVA

Candidates who have passed PUC /10+2/ Vocational Diploma in commercial art or any other visual art course/an overall total of 12 years of schooling through the formal or open school system are eligible. A candidate who has passed the 2-year foundation course in visual arts, leading to a degree from any recognized institutions in India and abroad (considered equivalent to 10+2 on the condition that the parent University approves) is also eligible.

MVA

The students seeking admission for an MVA degree should hold a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in their Under Graduate degree BVA/BFA recognized by any University/UG. Students belonging to SC/ST should hold a minimum of 45% aggregate. The students with any specialization in visual arts at BVA/BFA level are eligible to take admission to MVA Course in Art History. Students holding degrees in non-fine/visual arts fields (preferably humanities) can apply for one year Bridge Course offered by the department, which will naturally lead to two years of MVA in art history (1+2).

Entrance Test

College of Fine Arts (Evening) conducts entrance test for BVA, MVA & Post Diploma. The Candidate must clear the entrance test in order to get admission. The entrance test is conducted at three levels which include written, practical and oral tests as prescribed by the College of Fine Arts (Evening) administration. The Presentation of the portfolio is mandatory for BVA, MVA & Post Diploma.
